Warm the water and add the shampoo, stirring
until well blended. Add the honey, rose water, and salt, stirring
until thick and well blended. Store in a bottle.
Lemon
~ Mint Face Wash
Makes 9 ounces :
1 cup mineral water
1/2
tablespoon unscented glycerin soap
5
drops lemon oil
5
drops peppermint oil
1
teaspoon table salt
In a heavy saucepan bring the water to a boil
and add the glycerin soap, stirring until the soap has dissolved.
Remove the pan from the heat. Add the lemon oil and peppermint
oil and stir until well blended. Let cool to room temperature
and bottle.
Herbal
Face Refresher
Makes 9 ounces :
1 cup distilled
water
1
tablespoon dried elder flowers
1
tablespoon dried lavender
1
tablespoon dried chamomile
1
tablespoon dried rosemary
1/2
tablespoon unscented glycerin soap
1 teaspoon jojoba oil
1 teaspoon witch hazel
Bring the water to boiling point in a saucepan
and then add the dried elder flowers, chamomile, lavender
and rosemary. Remove the pan from the heat and let herbs steep
for one hour. Strain the herbs from the water and bring the
water to a gentle boil. Add the glycerin soap and stir until
dissolved. Remove the saucepan from heat again and then add
the jojoba oil and witch hazel. Let cool to room temperature
an store in a bottle.
Cold
Cream
Makes 8 ounces :
1/4 cup distilled
water
1/8
teaspoon borax powder
3
tablespoons beeswax, grated
1/2
cup mineral oil
1 teaspoon coconut oil
In a saucepan, bring the water to boiling
point and add the borax, stirring until dissolved. Simmer
gently while performing the next step. In a separate pan
melt the beeswax, mineral oil, and coconut oil over a
low heat until a clear liquid forms. Pour the hot oil
and beeswax mixture into a bowl. Slowly pour in the heated
water and borax mixture, stirring constantly with a wire
whisk. Continue stirring until the mixture forms a very
thick white cream. Continue stirring until it cools to
room temperature. Store in a jar.
