Orange Flower Cream

Makes 4 ounces :

• 1/4 cup orange water
  
• Pinch of borax powder
• 1 tablespoon beeswax, grated
• 1/2 cup light sesame oil
• 1 teaspoon vitamin E oil
  
  Mix together the beeswax, vitamin E oil, and sesame oil. Heat gently until beeswax is melted. Combine the orange flower and borax powder, and heat until very warm. Pour the warm water into the oil mixture and stir well. Continue to stir, or pour the whole mixture into an electric blender and blend for 1 minute. Pour the cream into a clean container and allow the mixture to cool completely. Store in a cool dry place.

Basic Cold Cream

Makes 8 ounces :

• 1/4 cup distilled water
  
• 1/8 teaspoon borax powder
• 3 tablespoons beeswax, grated
• 1/2 cup mineral oil
• 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  
  In a saucepan, bring the water to boiling point and add the borax, stirring until dissolved. Simmer gently while performing the next step. In a separate pan melt the beeswax, mineral oil, and coconut oil over a low heat until a clear liquid forms. Pour the hot oil and beeswax mixture into a bowl. Slowly pour in the heated water and borax mixture, stirring constantly with a wire whisk. Continue stirring until the mixture forms a very thick white cream. Continue stirring until it cools to room temperature. Store in a jar.
• Add your favorite essential oils to make fragrant and healing cold creams.

Egg Cream Lotion

Makes 8 ounces :

• 2 egg yolks
  
• 1/4 cup light oil (canola or almond)
• 1 tablespoons rum
• 1/2 cup heavy cream
• 
  
  In a blender, mix together the egg yolks, cream, and rum until well blended. With the blender running, slowly, add the oil in a thin stream until well combined. Pour the creamy lotion into a clean container and store in the refrigerator.

  Cocoa Cream
  
  
  Makes 3 ounces :
  
  
  • 2 tablespoons grated cocoa butter
  • 2 tablespoons castor oil
  • 2 tablespoons vodka
    
    Mix together the cocoa butter and castor oil, and heat gently to melt the cocoa butter. This can be done in the microwave or in a warm bath. Add the vodka and stir well. Allow the mixture to cool completely and stir once more to blend the lotion.
